The 1856 $1 Indian Head Princess Gold Coin is a classic Type III U.S. gold dollar struck from .900 fine gold. Designed by James B. Longacre, it features the larger Indian Princess portrait on the obverse and a detailed agricultural wreath surrounding the denomination on the reverse. The “Slanted 5” variety refers to the distinctive style of the numeral 5 in the date, making it a collectible variety among specialists in early U.S. gold coinage.

Certified PCGS Bent – XF Details, this example shows moderate circulation wear consistent with Extremely Fine condition along with bending noted by PCGS.
