1858-S $1 Indian Head Princess Gold | ANACS VF20 Scratched Details

The 1858-S $1 Indian Head Princess Gold Coin is a historic Type III U.S. gold dollar struck at the San Francisco Mint from .900 fine gold. Designed by James B. Longacre, it features the larger Indian Princess portrait on the obverse and an agricultural wreath surrounding the denomination on the reverse. As an early San Francisco Mint gold issue produced during the California Gold Rush era, the 1858-S carries significant historical and numismatic appeal.

Certified ANACS VF20 Scratched Details, this example displays moderate circulation wear consistent with Very Fine condition, with surface scratching noted by ANACS. Despite the details designation, it remains a desirable pre-Civil War gold coin with strong collector interest due to its branch mint origin and classic 19th-century design.
