In the foreground, a Navajo Marine with a radio represents the creators of the war’s only unbreakable code, built from their native language. Above him, Libertas stands in traditional Navajo dress, her spear symbolizing strength and protection. The piece honors their heroism and the enduring truth that freedom is defended in many voices, anchored by the principle: “Our language was our strongest weapon.”
