This artwork honors the virtue of Curiositas (Curiosity) through the story of Pluto’s discovery at Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, Arizona, in 1930. The central figure—a young woman gazing skyward in wonder—holds a telescope and a book embossed with Pluto’s symbol, embodying humanity’s drive to question and explore.
