California 3 Goldback Note 

PMG Graded 70 PPQ

The California 3 Goldback – Limited Early Release (LER) is a collectible note containing 3/1000th troy ounce of 24K gold, produced using Goldback’s proprietary vacuum deposition process. This example has been graded PMG 70 (Gem Uncirculated) and designated Limited Early Release, indicating it was among the first notes submitted for grading from the California series. The California LER Goldback embodies the virtue Harmonia, or harmony, through a surfer riding a powerful ocean wave along California's iconic coastline. The surfer moves gracefully through the water, representing the balance between humanity and nature. 

Details throughout the artwork reinforce this theme of natural harmony. A dolphin swims alongside the surfer, Brown Pelicans soar on coastal winds above, and the Santa Monica Pier stands in the distance. In the ultraviolet artwork, a hidden sea turtle glides beneath the waves. Together, these elements celebrate California's world-famous coastline and its relationship with the Pacific. Inscribed along the bottom is the enduring principle: “Courage means you don't let fear stop you.”
