The Idaho 10 Goldback honors the virtue Perseverantia (Perseverance) through the history of Silver City, one of Idaho’s most significant mining communities. Set in the Owyhee Mountains during the silver rush of the 1860s, the design depicts a miner resting beside a cart filled with raw silver ore, symbolizing the determination and endurance required to succeed in the harsh mining frontier. Landmarks such as the historic Idaho Hotel appear in the background, reflecting how hard work and cooperation transformed a remote camp into a thriving town.
