The Utah 3 Goldback – Limited Early Release (LER) is a collectible note containing 3/1000th troy ounce of 24K gold, produced using Goldback’s proprietary vacuum deposition process. This example has been graded PMG 70 (Gem Uncirculated) and designated Limited Early Release, indicating it was among the first notes submitted for grading from the Utah series. 

The Limited Early Release (LER) Utah 3 Goldback depicts the virtue Celeritas, or speed, as a 1930s racecar driver in a Hudson Speedster. She tears through the white expanse of Utah's historic racing ground, the Bonneville Salt Flats. A flock of California seagulls--the Utah state bird--fly overhead. UV-reactive ink illuminates the car's headlights and reveals a racing flag flying behind the car. Along the bottom is the enduring principle: “Do what must be done, without delay.”
